COVID

As the spread of COVID-19 (caused by a coronavirus) continues, we’re taking considerable measures to protect the health and safety of our clients and employees. Our clients are among the most vulnerable and susceptible to this virus, so we are adhering strictly to guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and information provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Effective Wednesday, March 11th, for an initial two-week period:

All Memory Care Professionals (MCPs) currently working with clients will be taking the following precautions:

  • Limiting outings with clients (all non-essential outings will be canceled)
  • Increasing hand hygiene protocols (hand washing upon arrival and at regular intervals)
  • Following our disinfecting protocol in all of our clients’ homes*
  • Staying home if they feel sick or exhibit any symptoms of an illness
  • Adhering to the CDC’s recommendations for face masks

To support our MCPs in the field, our Care Coordinators will be:

  • Stocking up on hand sanitizer and using at regular intervals and before/after touching surfaces or any direct human contact
  • Making more frequent visits to their clients’ homes to check on clients and MCPs, and to remind them of the ways they can keep themselves and our clients safe
  • Ensuring no one in the home (including any visitors) is sick
  • Delivering any necessary supplies or materials that may be running low

Tender Rose will be providing MCPs and Care Coordinators with an additional 16 hours of paid sick leave to encourage them to stay home if they feel sick or have any symptoms of an illness.

All Tender Rose office employees will begin:

  • Working from home, with the exception of essential meetings (caregiver interviews and new hire orientation)
  • Conducting all other meetings virtually (via teleconference or videoconference)
  • Cleaning office space and surfaces regularly when accessing office for essential meetings using our disinfecting protocol*

*Disinfecting protocol includes: using Clorox wipes in the home: disinfecting the doorknob upon arrival, all counters and surfaces, kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures every two hours throughout your shift; and in the office: disinfecting the door handle at the entrance door, kitchen door handle, coffee pot, cabinet handles, microwave, printer, conference room, all door knobs, every two hours (8am / 10am / 12pm / 2pm / 4pm) and disinfecting personal work area (phone, computer and desk surface) three times daily (8am / 12pm / 3pm).

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work our way through this rapidly changing situation. We will continue to keep you updated as things evolve.
